Summer Dress Elegance-from Vintage to NOW! WOW!

I just love re-designing.  This summer dress is elegant as a long dress but check out how cute and adorable it is short; a very cute, short, low cut, halter dress ready to go. Brandy wore it to a friends wedding on a ranch in Camarillo. I actually found the dress in my Cousin Tuffy's closet we think she made it in the late 70's. From Vintage to NOW! Wow, fashion is fun!

Hot tote bag!

I created this three pocket tote. Large in size to carry books, clothes, or groceries.  And Yes, it's real mink!! (None of this faux stuff... ) I revamped this design with the mink from a mink stole they use to wear in the 30's and 40's.  Love it!  We will definitely make more of these:

Parker's new dresses

I just had to redesign the two gathered shirts and make Parker two new dresses with headbands.

I recycled and revamped this sweater and it's ready-to-wear.

Today I wanted to wear a pullover sweater to the office party.  I took my button down wrap sweater out of the closet and redesigned it to the latest fashion. How to you like it now?

Hot Leo for a Hotlanta Dancer from the Mo'Nique Show

I worked on the Mo'Nique Show in Atlanta, GA.,.that was so exciting! Being a 3rd generation seamstress, and working on a hit show has been a real dream.   I love designing and making clothes, costumes, home designs and other crafts. Basically working with my hands and creating with gorgeous fabrics is a dream.

Working in Atlanta and being away from the fam was just not as pleasant as I thought it might be so eventually I moved back to LA. I Love, love, love Atlanta and will go back there in a heartbeat, with fam in tow, of course. BTW- Mo'Nique is the best.  I worked in the Wardrobe Dept. and spent only a few hours a day with MoNique, (just to measure her new outfits) and she would remember my name.  Just wanted to put that out there; she is a very sweet lady; much respect to her and her staff.

I made the best contacts. At the start of the first season I worked on the costumes for "The Big Girl Dancers" all those ladies are here in L.A. so I have helped a few of them with new digs.  One of the dancers needed a custom fit leotard for a gig in Las Vegas. She called me needing it at the last minute and I whipped it out.  Check it out. IT is made out of silver sequins and looked amazing on the dancers' body.
