Recently I rummaged through my mother's closet. (Great place to look for vintage fashions) Lucky for me my mother was, (STILL IS) a fashion/costume designer and she has kept a closet full of classic looks. I was looking for this sweater dress she used to wear in the 80's; striped, full, wool, and warm. It does get a bit chilly at night in Los Angeles and a sweater dress is well suited for an evening out. Unfortunately the dress is put away in the winter box. The winter box of course is in the garage. It's moments like this when I wish I lived in New York and we would've already pulled out the 'winter box'(es) from storage and I'd have my perfect dress tonight. So I did what anyone girl would do...I hunted for the perfect sweater dress.
I did not have such luck today finding the perfect chunky, soft, sweet, yet sexy, sweater dress. But with any classic look, it takes time. I will hunt again tomorrow.

New Year's Eve Sweater
On New Year's Eve I had the perfect little(well, not so little) black dress ready to wear. At the last minute we changed our plans and decide to stay close to home. Well, with only a few hours to change my style I re-designed a turtle neck sweater that I had in the closet. Clever yes? Let me know what you think.

Summer Dress Elegance-from Vintage to NOW! WOW!
I just love re-designing. This summer dress is elegant as a long dress but check out how cute and adorable it is short; a very cute, short, low cut, halter dress ready to go. Brandy wore it to a friends wedding on a ranch in Camarillo. I actually found the dress in my Cousin Tuffy's closet we think she made it in the late 70's. From Vintage to NOW! Wow, fashion is fun!
Hot tote bag!
I created this three pocket tote. Large in size to carry books, clothes, or groceries. And Yes, it's real mink!! (None of this faux stuff... ) I revamped this design with the mink from a mink stole they use to wear in the 30's and 40's. Love it! We will definitely make more of these:
I recycled and revamped this sweater and it's ready-to-wear.
